Privacy policy

Tipoff Calendar is developed by Chen. It has no app account, advertising, analytics SDK or developer-operated schedule server.
Information on your device
The app stores your followed teams, preferences, saved schedules and reminder identifiers on your device. Widgets store their own schedule cache and calendar browsing state. Widget team choices are managed by the operating system.
Schedule searches are interpreted on your device. The search text is not sent to a cloud AI service or the developer. Team and season choices are used for schedule requests as described below.
Schedule requests and external links
The app and widgets request schedules directly from ESPN over HTTPS. Requests include the team, season and competition type. ESPN receives those requests and normal connection information, such as your IP address, and may retain information under its own policies.
The NBA published-season schedule and team images included in the app can be displayed without downloading them. Opening NBA, ESPN, Apple help, or support and privacy links contacts the destination website, which handles the visit under its own policies.
These support and privacy pages are hosted on GitHub Pages. The website also loads fonts from Google. Those services receive ordinary web-request information when you visit; reading this policy inside the app does not load the website or its fonts.

Notifications
If you allow notifications, Tipoff schedules game reminders locally through Apple’s notification system. No remote push-notification service is used. You can remove a reminder in the app or change notification permissions in your device’s Settings.
Support you choose to send
Contacting support opens your email app. Nothing is sent automatically. If you send a message, Chen receives your email address, message and any attachments you include, and uses them to investigate and respond.
Review screenshots and messages before sending. Support correspondence is retained as needed to resolve requests and maintain support records. You can request deletion by emailing chen.he@icloud.com.
Retention, backups and deletion
Preferences and widget state remain locally until changed or removed with the app. Schedule caches may be replaced or cleared by the app or operating system. Remove pending reminders before removing the app if you want to cancel them explicitly.
Deleting the app removes its local app data. Device backups may retain copies according to your Apple backup settings; offloading the app is different from deleting it and can preserve data. Tipoff does not provide its own cloud sync or account-deletion service.
Tracking and Apple services
Tipoff does not sell personal information, include advertising or use an analytics SDK to track you across other apps or websites. Apple may provide App Store or diagnostic reports under Apple’s services and your device settings. Those services are covered by Apple’s privacy policy.
