Lull privacy policy.

Effective date: 28 October 2026

This policy describes Lull: Sleep Tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch.

Lull is developed by Chen. It tracks and explains your sleep using data that stays on your own devices. Lull has no account system, does not operate a server, and never uploads your health data or sound recordings anywhere.

Apple Health data Lull reads

With your permission, Lull reads Sleep, Heart Rate, Heart Rate Variability, Blood Oxygen and Respiratory Rate from Apple Health. Your night’s sleep stages and heart rate are recorded by Apple Watch’s own sleep tracking; Lull only reads them. It uses this data on your device to produce your morning report, sleep score and trends.

Health data is used only on your device to produce your reports. Lull never sells it, never shares it with anyone, never uses it for advertising or marketing, and never uploads it. You can revoke any of these permissions at any time in the Health app under Sharing → Apps → Lull.

Lull does not write to Apple Health

Lull only reads from Apple Health. It does not write any data to Apple Health. Whether your Health data syncs between your own devices is controlled by Apple and your Apple Account settings, not by Lull.

Microphone and sound recordings

Lull uses the iPhone microphone only while a night is being tracked, and only if you turn on sound recording. The audio is analysed on your iPhone as it is heard. Only short clips of snoring and sleep talk are saved, locally on that iPhone; all other audio is discarded immediately and never stored.

Saved clips are deleted automatically after 30 days, and you can delete all recordings at any time in Lull’s settings. Deleting recordings removes the audio; the snoring minutes already counted in your reports remain.

Recordings are stored only on that iPhone. They are never uploaded, are not synced to iCloud, and are excluded from iCloud and computer backups, so they are not restored to a new phone. If a later version adds iCloud sync for recordings, it will be optional and this policy will be updated before it ships.

Apple Watch and the smart alarm

Lull’s Apple Watch app runs only during your smart-alarm wake window. During that window it reads motion and heart rate on the watch to choose the moment to wake you. These readings are used only for that purpose, and nothing leaves your devices.

What stays on your devices

Your tracked nights, reports, alarm settings and sound clips are stored locally on your devices. They are not sent to the developer or to any third party.

Deleting your data

You can delete individual nights and all sound recordings in the app. Deleting the app removes everything Lull stored. Because Lull does not write to Apple Health, the sleep and heart data your Apple Watch recorded in Apple Health stays there under your control, and you can manage it in the Health app.

Advertising, analytics and tracking

Lull includes no advertising, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. Apple may provide crash reports and TestFlight feedback under its terms and your Apple settings.

Children

Lull is not directed at children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect information from children.

Not a medical device

Lull is a wellness tool for understanding your sleep. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, including sleep disorders such as sleep apnea. Consult a healthcare professional about concerns with your sleep.

Contact and changes

If you email support, the developer and the email providers involved receive whatever you choose to send. It is used only to respond to you. If Lull changes how it handles information, this page will be updated with a new effective date.
